The band, VOX HUNTERS, is a duo of really stunning young musicians, playing mostly Irish music: Armand Aromin, a violin maker from Providence, will play fiddle and some ukulele; Benedict Gagliardi, graduate student at Storrs in Entomology will play the concertina. They both sing. In addition to the Irish material there will also be arrangements of Ozark ballads, a few Appalachian tunes and songs, there might even be a surprise tune from the mass media! Jeff Davis will be accompanying the duo on mandocello, banjo, and fiddle. He will sing a few songs too. Armand will also do some county Kerry-style step-dancing and -- who knows? -- there might even be a bit of a stepping lesson thrown in. Benedict and Armand have an amazing sound, with two instruments in perfect sync. You will be glad you have heard them. Tickets are available on-line on the website: (Ph. 860-928-4158)
  • November 2014: England, dates and locales to be determined
